The Premier & Angels Driving School also offers Taxi Assessment Lessons.

Certain Licensing Authorities insist that you must pass a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire assessment test before you are issued with a Hackney Carriage or Private Hire drivers licence.

If your Licensing Authority requires you to take the test, it is recommended that you familiarise yourself with the content of the test and that you take professional instruction prior to taking the test.

The standard of the taxi assessment test is set at a level suitable for the full driving licence holder, this means it is not suitable for learner drivers.

The Taxi Test comprises of the following elements:

• The test last 38-40 minutes
• Eyesight test
• 3 pull-ins
• 2 manoeuvres
• Controlled Stop (1 in 3)
• 3 Highway code questions
• 2 Cabology questions
• 5 Traffic sign questions

You are allowed 9 minor driving faults but NO major faults.
